Confessions of an Adoptive Parent
I’m an author, blogger, public speaker, adoptive father, former foster parent, fan of thin-mint cookies, Taylor Swift, and slip-on shoes. I have a passion for speaking hope and validation to weary foster and adoptive parents around the globe. My wife, Kristin, and I are the parents of 8 children, all of whom are adopted.
I am designing an online experience for worn out, frustrated, and overwhelmed foster, adoptive, special needs, or traditional parents called The Resting Place. The Resting Place is a 9 session audio experience that speaks hope from the trenches of parenting, by letting participants know they are not alone. Our goal is to help parents identify their areas of exhaustion, change direction, and find renewed strength. The site is www.findtherestingplace.com but will not go live until May 3rd.
How You Can Help:
The biggest thing we need is for folks to spread the word about this experience. Share this on Facebook, Twitter etc. Our hope is to reach as many foster, adoptive, special needs, or traditional parents as possible. This experience has the power to transform their life. We would also love feedback or ideas. We always welcome that!
