I'm Molly, and my team empowers women as players. We should be showing women in video games as the heroes they already are, but we're not. I'm changing that one game at a time.
We have a responsibility to change the messages we send in social and mobile games where women, especially moms, are the dominate force. We just soft launched a Facebook game, PrinceNapped, in Canada, Australia, Ireland, India, and the Philippines. PrinceNapped, is a free-to-play, puzzle game where players rescue a handsome prince, but more importantly it's a step forward. There is a disconnect between the types of games that target moms and the messages they are telling their daughters. We have to send the same messages to women and moms who play social and mobile games that we send to young girls- that we believe in them, that we value them, and that they too are leaders. We have to empower them as players.
How You Can Help:
We’d like to encourage anyone in our soft launch territories to play on Facebook. We’re especially interested in press who would like to write about how we’re working to empower women as players or companies who would like to partner with us that have a similar missions.
